2 YEARS

Kristin and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary yesterday (Yay we've reached Cotton!). I took her out to dinner to a restaurant called Rocket in Chatswood (thanks Ben). It was a lovely night, nice food wine and atmosphere (there were maybe 2 other groups there). It's mostly seafood orientated, I had the scollops to start and the Barra for main. Kristin asked for some oysters (6 natural, 6 kill Patrick) then the King Prawns, man, those prawns rocked! If you're interested you can check out the menu.

What we're looking forward to though is our 'real' celebrations. This Saturday we are off to The Lion King to see what all the fuss is about. Mind you we will be in the back row (yes, yes I've been told it looks better from further back but we'll be back row people!), I'll surly post about it after the weekend.

More photos will be on the way but if you are in a clicking mood check out Tim's Flickr, thanks go to Chris for Tim's Pro account.

101 WAYS...

To loose 2kg in 48 hours:

Get Gastro!

Kristin and I both had a bout of gastro on late Tuesday - Thursday. Not fun and even though I'm sure there are a few of you out there (the two people who visit my site) that think loosing 2kg would be good... this isn't the way I recommend. Both of us are doing fine and it seems Charlotte escaped the torture.

Tim's newest post is about "them good ol' days" when we were kids, if you read his post I just need to tell you that my parents are not alcholoics... alchoholics go to meating! Just kidding!! hahahaha... :) Seriously, they aren't.

So anyway, Tim's post about the times we had with Chris, Lucy and Anthony et al reminded me of a very old a corny song (no, it's not Everybody Knows by Leonard Cohen!)

The Way We Were

Memories light the corner of my mind.
Misty water color memories
Of the way we were.

Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind,
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were.

Can it be that it was all so simple then,
Or has time rewritten every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again,
Tell me? would we? could we?
Memories may be beautiful and yet,
What's too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget.
So it's the laughter
We will remember,
Whenever we remember
The way we were;
The way we were.

OUR PLACE

So if anyone is hungry on Friday evenings, head on over to the Channel 9 studios in Willougby. Before the live broadcast of the new lifestyle show Our Place, they put on a bbq. The best thing is that there are no checks to see if you are even going to the show!!

Here's a pic I took with my phone... it's a bit fuzzy but I had to take it quickly. Click on the image to go to my Flickr page and see who is who!

Our Place

Over the weekend we caught up with The Heaps and their immediate family (they even had all of their nieces & nephews in the one place) in Wahroonga Park for lunch. The night saw us watching the 'Tahs beat the Brumbies on a big screen at a friends place (I tipped the Brumbies do'h!). Yesterday was a little slower as we get ready for the week.

WE ARE FAMILY

Hi all. I'll be uploading some new pics shortly but in the meantime i'll give you a little update.

We've been quite busy over the past week or so (hence lack of posts) but I might get a little time in a few days to just potter around. Tonight sees Kristin and I attending the filming of a new TV show call Our Place (Channel 9, Friday nights). We also had tickets to see the Australian version of Ready, Steady, Cook but had other commitments so we had to give it a miss... Our Place should be interesting :)

In other news we went to visit my grandparents at their place the other night and had a chin wag, helped out with opening PDF files and working the DVD player. The PDF to open was a file from one of Granny's nieces from England, it was their family tree, well what they had so far, which is quite a lot! A month or two back I got a program to help create our family tree, now with all the info Lou has already gathered I can just 'upload' it into my program! Add to that my father's side which we have oodles of info for and both of Kristin's parents heritage and you have for one big family tree! It's a long way off being close to resembling something that might be somehow related to looking like a full family tree, but it's a start ;)

TOO TOOF

Not sure if I mentioned it but during the Easter weekend Charlotte cut her first tooth, now we have a second one just one week later.

Didn't like the last pic of Toby-Wan? How about this Wan:

In other news Kristin bought me The Simpsons: Season 5 DVD box set. It's great and I've been watching all the commentaries (I only have one more disk to go!). I have also got my hot little hands on tickets to the midnight screening of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith at Hornsby (18th May), PLUS I picked up the novel of the movie on the weekend :)
