IT'S MY PARTY
Just a little tease...
I forgot to post some pics and stuff about Charlotte's birthday presents. Kristin & I got her some building blocks, which she can pull apart and pack away but not build yet (a future in demolition?!) along with assorted puzzles and books. She was also spoiled by her grandparents on both sides!

Sitting in the livingroom with the sun on her back... awwww
And many Hippo returns!
Charlotte's 1st Birthday was yesterday. It was a busy day, I was busy in the morning running around like a chook with its head cut off, around lunch we went to Taronga Zoo, then in the evening Kristin & I went to Charlotte's Day Care Centre for a meeting to see what all the fuss was about (the privately run center has recently been bought by a Group that has 36 or centers and is poorly communicating changes).
A couple of pics!
The Mothers Group 1st Birthday Party was today at Wahroonga Park, fun was had by all (around 30 or so people all up).
Inspired by Tim's photo of himself some 9 years ago, I have uploaded some old pics...
oh... and there are two of Charlotte walking ;)
Fun was had and stuff
Here is Tipsy, I'll let my mum comment on what breed of cat she is but she is absolutly beautiful and this picture comes no where close to showing it, but I'll show it anyway :)
Charlotte playing with some yellow things...
It's the Queens Birthday long weekend this weekend and we are looking forward to heading up to Tahlee for Saturday - Monday. The olds will be busy with an assorted workload so Kristin, Charlotte and myself will be maxin' & relaxin' and left to our own devices.
Photos and stuff to come next week.
It a few years old now but I love it:
COWS WITH GUNSFat and docile, big and dumb
They look so stupid, they aren't much fun
Cows aren't funThey eat to grow, grow to die
Die to be et at the hamburger fry
Cows well doneNobody thunk it, nobody knew
No one imagined the great cow guru
Cows are oneHe hid in the forest, read books with great zeal
He loved Che Guevera, a revolutionary veal
Cow Tse TongueHe spoke about justice, but nobody stirred
He felt like an outcast, alone in the herd
Cow doldrumsHe mooed we must fight, escape or we'll die
Cows gathered around, cause the steaks were so high
Bad cow punBut then he was captured, stuffed into a crate
Loaded onto a truck, where he rode to his fate
Cows are bummedHe was a scrawny calf, who looked rather woozy
No one suspected he was packing an Uzi
Cows with gunsThey came with a needle to stick in his thigh
He kicked for the groin, he pissed in their eye
Cow well hungKnocked over a tractor and ran for the door
Six gallons of gas flowed out on the floor
Run cows run!He picked up a bullhorn and jumped up on the hay
We are free roving bovines, we run free todayWe will fight for bovine freedom
And hold our large heads high
We will run free with the Buffalo, or die
Cows with gunsThey crashed the gate in a great stampede
Tipped over a milk truck, torched all the feed
Cows have funSixty police cars were piled in a heap
Covered in cow pies, covered up deep
Much cow dungBlack smoke rising, darkening the day
Twelve burning McDonalds, have it your wayWe will fight for bovine freedom
And hold our large heads high
We will run free with the Buffalo, or die
Cows with gunsThe President said "enough is enough
These uppity cattle, its time to get tough"
Cow dung flungThe newspapers gloated, folks sighed with relief
Tomorrow at noon, they would all be ground beef
Cows on bunsThe cows were surrounded, they waited and prayed
They mooed their last moos,
they chewed their last hay
Cows out gunnedThe order was given to turn cows to whoppers
Enforced by the might of ten thousand coppers
But on the horizon surrounding the shoppers
Came the deafening roar of chickens in choppersWe will fight for bovine freedom
And hold our large heads high
We will run free with the Buffalo, or die
Cows with guns
It's my turn to reciprocate the 'coolness' which Tim allocates me on his Blog. If you haven't seen his latest batch of photos, your missing something special. His talent in recent times has grown exponentially, here is just one example of that talent ("nothing funny, I just like talent"). If you click on the image it will take you to his main Flickr photo page!
